What if I change my mind and no longer want to sell my vehicle?
If you change your mind and decide not to sell your vehicle anymore after the process has started, a withdrawal fee of €50 (VAT included) will be applied, intended to cover the costs already incurred with the promotion and publication of the advertisement.
What if I manage to sell the car before AvecAuto has done so?
If you manage to sell the vehicle on your own before we do, you can exit the consignment process without any cost. Naturally, during the period when the vehicle is with us, all promotion is handled by our team, so it should not be published through other means. If a buyer appears through your own initiative, without parallel advertising, there is no impediment to completing the sale. The contract will be closed without charges, having achieved the main objective: selling the vehicle.
What are the conditions to use your consignment service?
The only condition required by AvecAuto for the consignment service is exclusivity in the publication and promotion of the vehicle. This means you cannot publish the vehicle on your own, since we will already be doing so. This measure avoids confusion and potential fraud suspicions among future buyers.
Do you handle the documentation?
Yes, we handle all the documentation. We take care of the ownership transfer, the IMT registration and all legal procedures, ensuring a simple and safe sale for both the seller and the buyer.
Can I set a minimum sale value?
Yes, you can. The value at which the car will be put up for sale is always defined based on mutual agreement between the owner and AvecAuto. This value must, naturally, be aligned with the vehicle's market price in Portugal.
Can I continue to use the vehicle while it's for sale?
Yes, you can continue to use your vehicle during the sales process. The objective of our service is that the customer doesn't have to worry about anything and can continue to enjoy the car while we handle the entire sale.
Do I have to pay anything before the sale?
No. Our process and operating model are designed so that individuals who want to sell their vehicle don't have to pay absolutely anything. There is no payment before or after the sale. The vehicle's value is fully recovered by the owner as soon as the sale is completed and the vehicle delivered to the buyer.
What is car consignment with AvecAuto?
Consignment is a service that helps individuals sell their own vehicles in a simple, safe and uncomplicated way. With Avecauto, we handle the entire process, from promotion to delivery to the buyer and respective payment. Furthermore, our process is completely free for those who sell. No hidden costs, you simply pay absolutely nothing.
How long does it take to sell my car?

This contributes to a faster sale. On average, we manage to sell a vehicle in about a month. However, this timeframe may vary depending on the used car market, the set price and the demand at the time.
